This course introduces the fundamentals of financial management in international schools, tailored for those new to the business side of education. New and aspiring Heads will learn the distinct roles and responsibilities of the Head and the Board and the critical partnership between them. By exploring governance best practices and common sources of tension, participants will develop the knowledge and skills needed to build productive, trust-based relationships with their Boards.

AISH Leadership Series Online Program


If you are a current or aspiring Head of an international school, AISH’s Online Leadership Series offers practical, relevant professional learning designed specifically for the realities of international school leadership. Founded in 1999 on the principle of For Heads, by Heads, AISH has developed these courses to address the evolving challenges and opportunities facing school leaders today. Grounded in real-world practice, each course focuses on the knowledge, skills, and strategies that Heads need to lead effectively in through increasing complexity.

Developed and facilitated by experienced international school Heads, the Leadership Series combines professional expertise with authentic leadership experience.
