John Littleford

John Littleford offers this session specifically designed for the International School Head. The US average is now less than five years and throughout the world the longevity of heads has been reduced compared to pre pandemic statistics. The causes of the turnover are three and two are manageable and one is up for grabs. One is the loss of board memory, ie the turnover is too fast; a second is the type and pace of change that heads are asked to address; and the third is the “culture” wars that are political, and social in nature and represent very risky waters for heads of school This session will explore ways to ensure healthy searches lead to longer term heads who can be effective leaders, internally and externally, including a successful role in fundraising and strategic planning; and knowing how to manage successfully stakeholder discontent.
