CEO

Dr. Andy Page-Smith joins AISH as the new CEO, effective July 2020. Andy brings almost 40 years of service as a professional educator, including 18 years as a Head of School in Kuwait, Hong Kong, and currently in Johannesburg.

In addition to his time and commitment as a teacher, principal, and Head of School, Andy has served as a professional learning consultant in a variety of schools offering a wide range of expertise and support. AISH is extremely fortunate to have such an accomplished and distinguished international school leader as its next CEO.

Andy is described by others as an internationalist, an innovator, and a leader who thinks strategically and implements with integrity. A visitor to his school in Johannesburg described the learning climate and connected community in this way: "There is unmistakable integrity in how the AISJ community speaks with one voice, has set strategic direction and seeks to live the vision and mission. The School's aspirations are vivid and highly accessible, completely focused on teaching, learning and the student experience."

In February 2020, Andy was named Superintendent of the Year by the AAIE Board of Trustees. This annual award recognizes the significant contribution of the Head of an international school worldwide.
